It was exciting to receive the mix of “Yuki” and B-side “Forever the Optomist” from the immensely talented and innovative band – Vessels. The track was self produced and recorded up in Leeds on a very low budget, which meant there was a fair bit of work to be done.
Vessels are signed to a great indie label called ‘Cukundoo Records’, based in Leeds in January 2007 (ish).
Yuki was their first release as a 7”, limited to a run of 500. The single was greatly received by the music press – and rightly so. Here’s a review from Downed in Sound.
There album ‘White fields and open spaces’ has received critical acclaim too, as seen in this review from Drowned in Sound.
